“After struggling to find success with post-surgical stiffness and pain in my ankle, their treatments worked wonders. I now don't think about my ankle at all while I run, ski, hike, play basketball, and play tennis.”

“They look at you as a whole to get to the root of the problem instead of just pinpoint treating where you think hurts… I felt heard, seen, and valued as a person.”

Our services

One principle: autologous.

Our therapies are primarily autologous, which means they're made from your own blood or tissue. Our orthopedic treatments include bone marrow aspirate (BMA), microfragmented adipose (mFAT), the full range of PRP, and complementary treatments. We also provide biologic care for complex systemic conditions.

The Apeiron Research Center · 501(c)(3) non-profit
1745 38th St., Boulder, Colorado

Clinical research through the Apeiron Research Center.

Dr. Glowney founded the Apeiron Research Center, a non-profit that runs IRB-approved clinical trials of treatments made from a participant's own bone marrow. Its current studies are in Parkinson's disease.

Independent non-profit

The Research Center is a separate 501(c)(3) non-profit in its own facility. It studies autologous cellular therapy.

IRB-approved trials

Investigator-led, protocol-driven studies on bone marrow–derived cellular therapy and adjacent biologics, with formal ethics review and outcome tracking.

Separate from clinic care

The trials are separate from clinic care, and the treatments they study are investigational.

One patient's imaging

MRI from one patient, before and after PRP.

Imaging from one of our patients before and after a course of PRP therapy at our Boulder clinic.

This is an example of a patient's results from PRP therapy at Boulder Biologics. We caution that these results are the exception and would not be expected in more advanced or diffuse arthritis. Outcomes depend on patient selection, joint stage, and biological response.

Frequently asked

Questions patients ask us most.

Cost, candidacy, recovery, and other common questions. If yours isn't here, ask us at consultation.

How much does it cost? Is it covered? +

Most insurance plans don't currently cover autologous biologic therapies: this is a patient-pay practice. We discuss the cost with you when you book your service, supply documentation for HSA / FSA reimbursement where applicable, and never bill you for anything that wasn't discussed up front.

What is BMAC, and how does it differ from PRP? +

PRP uses concentrated platelets and growth factors from your blood. BMAC uses MSC-containing material from your bone marrow. PRP is the first-line tool for many tendon and mild-to-moderate joint conditions; BMAC is typically considered when disease is more advanced or when subchondral bone is involved.

Is the procedure painful? +

Procedures are performed in-clinic under local anesthesia and ultrasound guidance. Most patients report mild post-procedural soreness for 24 to 72 hours. An oral sedative is available for bone marrow aspiration if you ask for it ahead of time.

Am I a candidate? +

Candidacy depends on your imaging, condition stage, prior treatments, and overall health. Every patient is evaluated by Dr. Glowney before any procedure is offered. We'll tell you honestly whether biologics fit your case or whether another path makes more sense.

How long does it take to see results? +

Biological response varies. When improvement comes, it is usually gradual, over 4 to 12 weeks. We schedule follow-up at 6 and 12 weeks to check your progress, and results depend on the stage of your condition and how your body responds.

Are you doing research too? +

Yes, Dr. Glowney also founded the Apeiron Research Center, our affiliated non-profit running clinical-trials research on cellular therapy. The clinic and the research center are separate entities; trial participation, when available, follows IRB protocols.
