Cost & payment

What your care costs, and how we bill for it.

Boulder Biologics is a patient-pay practice. Your cost depends on the treatment and on what you actually need, so we go over it with you when you book your service, and we bill only for the care that's indicated.

Our approach

We bill only for the care you need.

We don't sell packages, and we don't recommend treatments you don't need.

There is no fixed price list, because there is no fixed treatment. What you pay depends on the specific procedure, the number of sites treated, and the biologic used, all of which we determine together from your diagnosis and your goals.

We go over the cost with you when you book your service, so you can make the decision with the full picture in front of you.

Insurance

Why these treatments are self-pay.

Most insurance plans do not currently cover autologous biologic and regenerative treatments, and coverage varies by insurer.

Because of that, Boulder Biologics is a patient-pay practice. We keep pricing straightforward, and we're glad to provide whatever documentation your plan or your account requires.

HSA & FSA

Using HSA or FSA funds.

In most cases, yes.

Funds from a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) can generally be applied to medically necessary treatment. Eligibility depends on your care being tied to a diagnosed condition, not on the specific procedure. We provide the documentation that makes reimbursement straightforward:

  • An itemized superbill with CPT and ICD-10 codes and the provider's credentials.
  • A Letter of Medical Necessity from your physician, on request.

Your plan administrator is the final authority on what your account will reimburse. This page is general information, not tax advice.
