What it is

Primary care at Boulder Biologics.

Primary care is the clinician you see first: for a new symptom, for a condition that needs ongoing management, and for preventive care.

At Boulder Biologics, that clinician is Ryan Shiling, MSN, AGNP-C. He gets to know your history and sees you over time, so each visit builds on the last.

Scope of care

What Ryan treats.

Something new.

A lingering cough, fatigue you can't explain, or an illness that isn't clearing on its own. Ryan sees respiratory illnesses, musculoskeletal pain, and other common acute illnesses.

Preventive care.

Routine visits to review your health and your labs, and to talk through anything you've noticed since your last visit.

Conditions that need ongoing care.

  • Anemia and iron deficiency
  • Asthma
  • Thyroid disorders
  • Migraines
  • High blood pressure
  • High cholesterol
  • Diabetes and prediabetes
  • Acid reflux (GERD)
  • Osteoporosis

For iron deficiency, Ryan also runs the clinic's iron infusion program.

Talking it through

When primary care here is a good fit.

What we look at together

  • You want one clinician who knows your history and sees you over time.
  • You'd like a joint or tendon problem looked at by the same person who manages the rest of your health.
  • Once you're a patient, you want to be seen within a day or two when something new comes up.

Patients ages 13 and older.

Established patients can get a same-day or next-day visit for a new illness. We aren't a walk-in or urgent care clinic. The clinic is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and closed Wednesday.

Do you offer telehealth? +

Yes, for patients in Colorado, for visits that don't need an exam, such as going over lab results or following up on a medication.

Where are labs drawn? +

Here at the clinic, or at Boulder Community Health on the same campus. Ryan goes over the results with you.

Can Ryan look at a joint or tendon problem too? +

Yes. Ryan evaluates musculoskeletal problems as part of primary care, and if a problem needs more, the clinic's orthopedic care is in the same office.
